Full Mouth Reconstruction
What is Full Mouth Reconstruction?
/
Full mouth reconstruction combines multiple dental procedures to restore the patient's oral health and function. Unlike cosmetic dentistry, the procedures aren't focused on aesthetic outcomes. Reconstructive dentistry fixes the problem at its core rather than covering up a slight flaw with veneers. While a better-looking smile may result, a full mouth reconstruction focuses more on function than aesthetics.

Types of Full Mouth Reconstruction Procedures
Dental Implants
Dental implants are an excellent restoration option to permanently replace a missing tooth and protect the patient's jaw from bone deterioration and shifting teeth. Dr. N. Summer Lerch works with Dr. Brian Evans when placing implants. Dr. Evans is a prosthodontist known for his work as an implant specialist. Our dentist can see if implants are the correct procedure for you during your consultation.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns are a great solution for repairing a damaged tooth or replacing a missing tooth. Our crowns can be implant-supported to provide a stable structure that feels and looks like your natural teeth. Our porcelain material mimics natural enamel and is highly durable. Our office works with a skilled lab nearby to craft your custom dental crown in three weeks.
Invisalign
Crooked and misaligned teeth can make chewing, speaking, and other daily tasks difficult for patients. The Center of Esthetic Dentistry uses Invisalign® to straighten and correct smiles. Straightening crooked teeth can help your oral health and function long-term.
Gum Disease Treatment
Gum disease can quickly spread and lead to other dental health problems if not dealt with immediately. Our office uses lasers to access and remove the infected gum tissue around your tooth. We can then remove the built-up plaque along your gumline. In some cases, we use localized antibiotics to clear the mouth of gum disease. If you have gum disease, treatment is necessary before receiving other dental procedures.
Implant-Supported Restorations
The Center for Esthetic Dentistry believes in implant-supported crowns, bridges, and dentures for proper restoration of the smile. Our dentist can replace one tooth with an implant-supported crown, multiple teeth with an implant-supported dental bridge, or a full-arch of teeth with implant-supported dentures. Implant-supported restorations are more sturdy and permanent than traditional dentures.
Do You Perform Root Canals?
/
Our office does not perform root canals. However, we can refer you to an endodontist if a root canal is necessary for treatment.

I sat up in the chair again yesterday and cried tears of joy for the amazing work Dr. Lerch did on my two front teeth. One was cracked; one was chipped. They look better than they ever did, and all the work was covered by insurance. She is an artist, and visiting this cozy and loving practice is always a great experience.
